Tū Ātea Welcomes New Board Directors to guide the consolidation of Spectrum and Technology.

Tū Ātea is proud to announce the appointment by the Māori Spectrum Working Group of three distinguished leaders to join its Board of Directors: George Reedy MNZM, Callum Kātene, and Sheree Ryan. Their combined expertise in governance, technology, finance, and iwi development will further advance the Tū Ātea mission to increase Māori participation in spectrum-related industries and the technology economy. They will serve alongside current Board Chair Robin Hapi and Directors Haami Piripi, Elle Archer and Mike Jenkins - strengthening the collective leadership.

Ngā Kaiwhakahaere Hou | New Directors

• George Reedy (NgāT Porou, NgāT Pahauwera, NgāT Kahungungu) - Brings decades of

experience in Māori economic development, iwi governance, and strategic

leadership, with a commitment to empowering whānau and communities through

kaupapa Māori solutions.

• Callum Kātene (NgāT Toa RangaTra, NgāT Tama, NgāT Koata) – An accomplished

governance and technology leader, serving as Chair of Te Rūnanga o Toa RangaTra

and founder of Ātea Systems Ltd. His background spans iwi governance, housing,

health and social services, and international technology innovation.

• Sheree Ryan (NgāT Maniapoto, Waikato, Hauraki, NgāT Rereahu) – A highly regarded

governance professional and Chief Financial Officer with over 20 years’ experience in

financial management and audit oversight. She is the first Māori appointed to the

External Reporting Board (XRB) and brings significant expertise in audit, risk, and

financial strategy.
