Broadtech Welcomes TransWorks Ltd, Strengthening Capability Across the Tū Ātea Group

Tū Ātea is proud to support a significant milestone for Broadtech Limited and the wider Tū Ātea Group with the acquisition of TransWorks Ltd through its subsidiary Broadtech.

The acquisition brings together two established organisations with complementary capabilities and a shared commitment to quality, safety, and delivery. TransWorks, founded almost three decades ago, has built a strong reputation across communications, ICT infrastructure and electrical services, with a proven track record delivering complex, nationally significant projects throughout Aotearoa.

By bringing TransWorks into the group, Broadtech strengthens its end to end capability across communications, ICT, data centre and industrial electrical services. The combined capability enhances scale, resilience and delivery certainty for customers and strategic partners, while supporting a more integrated approach across the group.

Beyond operational impact, the acquisition also supports longer term workforce and capability development across the Tū Ātea Group. It creates new opportunities for skills development, workforce growth and career pathways, reinforcing the group’s focus on investing in people and building a future focused, highly capable workforce.

TransWorks will continue to operate as part of Broadtech, with its people, leadership and organisational culture remaining central to the business. This continuity ensures stability for staff and customers while supporting the next phase of growth within the group.

The acquisition reflects Tū Ātea’s broader kaupapa of strengthening Māori led capability across critical digital and physical infrastructure. By building scale and depth within the group, Tū Ātea continues to support commercially resilient outcomes that contribute to long term value for Aotearoa.
