Tū Ātea Strengthens Digital Infrastructure Capability with the Addition of Feenix

In October 2025, Tū Ātea welcomed Feenix into the Tū Ātea Group, strengthening its capability to deliver secure, resilient digital infrastructure across Aotearoa.

Feenix is a specialist provider of wholesale telecommunications services, operating behind the scenes to ensure data and connectivity move reliably between organisations, networks and regions. Its platforms support everything from business communications and cloud services to critical systems that must remain available at all times.

What sets Feenix apart is its focus on reliability and automation. Rather than relying on manual processes, Feenix has built systems that allow networks to be set up, managed and monitored efficiently, helping organisations reduce complexity and maintain consistent performance. This is particularly important for customers that depend on fast, secure and always on connectivity for day to day operations.

The addition of Feenix strengthens Tū Ātea’s ability to support organisations operating in high demand and high assurance environments, where network reliability and security are essential. Feenix’s platforms support both national and international connectivity, providing the backbone that enables digital services to operate smoothly across locations and borders.

For customers, this means greater confidence that their digital infrastructure can scale, adapt and remain resilient as needs change. Feenix’s services are designed to grow alongside organisations, supporting increased demand without sacrificing performance or security.

Welcoming Feenix into the group also aligns with Tū Ātea’s broader kaupapa of putting Māori owned spectrum and infrastructure assets to work in ways that deliver long term value. By investing in proven capability and technical depth, Tū Ātea is building the foundations needed to support innovation, resilience and digital sovereignty across New Zealand.

This acquisition reflects a continued focus on building practical, real world capability that supports both commercial performance and public benefit. With Feenix now operating as part of the Tū Ātea Group, the organisation is well positioned to support the growing demand for secure, high quality connectivity, while continuing to strengthen Māori leadership in the ownership and operation of critical digital infrastructure.
